Tesco car insurance new promo

Hi all,

my car insurance come up for renewal, with aviva renewal cost £250, from Tesco quote £280 but they give away a free MOT and free tesco 18 point car service , both of these have to use with Halford/nationwide autocenters,
I am wondering is it worth to go with tesco because of these freebie and has anyone use halford/nationwide autocentres

both quotes are more the less the same with tesco has £50 more on excess and no temporary car replacement.

any advise would be welcome.

An MOT at my local garage (with coupon from local paper) costs £25. Other garages do MOTs for around £30. You are getting an inferior policy (the lack of courtesy car and additional excess) for an additional premium.

Perhaps have a proper shop around and don't base your decision on the marketing ploys.

A free MOT usually ends up costing more than a full price one.

The aviva policy covers A LOT more than Tesco's one
