Can I switch supplier after only 9 months?

Hiya, just a quick query that I hope you wise moneysavers can help with.
I took Martins advice and changed gas & elec supplier at the end of last year. My current supplier has just increased prices by 8% for elec and 19% for gas. Taking Martin's advice once again, if I now use Energy Helpline to change suppliers, switching from EDF to Atlantic, I can save approx £126 a year (duel fuel) and get £15 cashback in the process. :j
I can't remember what the contract said, but does anyone know if it's possible to change suppliers after only 9 months or do I have to wait until January?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. rm

I've been with Powergen for 9 months and on my last bill there was something about being able to change. Maybe you could check the T&Cs on their website? The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Great idea wigginsmum. :T Much quicker and easier than digging out the contract and then pouring over the small print (but I'd do it if I had to)! I'll check the website after work! I'm looking forward to becoming £141 richer! Whoohoo! Thanks wm and thanks also to Martin - he's done it again (helped a moneysaver save even more, that is)!0

You can leave EDF at any time without getting stung by get out clauses such as we will charge you for leaving. So go ahead and make the move.0

Thanks a lot nenya, I'll sort it out at the weekend.
Now for the bad news, I got in from work last night to discover a letter from my landlord - it was a replacement rent contract with an increase of £10 a month! So I wont be £146 better off, after all!
Still, looking on the bright side, (I have to or else I'd crack up!) at least I should have a gain of approx £26! I'll have 12 months in which to recoup it and to think about what I might spend it on! Any ideas?0
