Hi, I have just taken my first steps of putting some items for sale on ebay.
One item weighs 2kg and will cost about £8.00 postage via post office.I phoned DHL and they would charge £29.! Someone selling a similar item is only charging £3 for postage. My question is ..How can he do it so cheaply?? Am i missing something here??? Thanks.

  • Dunno, sounds a bit low. Maybe they've mistakenly entered the wrong postage amount?
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.
  • £5.31 by standard parcels (Royal Mail).

tip - Always list the cheapest option first in eBay as this is what the buyer sees initially. This can be free if the buyer collects, for instance.

I charge 99p for a standard inland letter. 32p for a stamp, 2p for the envelope and the rest covers my time to go post it (and listing/final value/PayPal fees). Within EU its £1.99 and worldwide it's £2.99. I love sending things worldwide!

Sounds like he may have entered the wrong postage amount unless he is selling at a loss! It may be that he has not accounted for the postal charges system?
