Thank you, that's great. Hopefully getting action in Steven's case will make other LAs pause before acting so rashly and will give protection to others with Autism.:)A [STRIKE]B[/STRIKE][STRIKE]C [/STRIKE]D E [STRIKE]F[/STRIKE]G H I J K L M N O P Q R S [STRIKE]T[/STRIKE]U V [STRIKE]W [/STRIKE]X Y Z0 -

Hi Mark,I joined your facebook group and petition a few weeks ago.Glad you are posting round forums to get more signatures.
Have you gone on all the parenting forums too?
A friend of mine, who joined the group after I gave her the link,is a social worker for adults with SLDs and autism etc and her and many of her colleagues are behind you 100% and personally,I think that really says something
Good luck and I'll catch up on the FB group later xIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

Earlier this year, Steven was left unsupervised in the care home (and there were only 2 other residents), left the house and met a vicar whose glasses he removed. As a consequence of this, the local authority served Steven with a Deprivation of Liberty order.
What are the vicar's views on the subject :question:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Hopefully the vicar will have sympathy for Steven and hold those who were supposed to be supervising him responsible. Something like this wouldn't have happened had he been in the care of his parents.Legal team on standby0

Surey he is bound to show more episodes of aggression, if he is taken out of his routine and not with his Dad?! Joined the FB page and will sign the petition.:cool:0

my interpretation was that the vicar may have been instrumental in securing Steven's ""deprivation of liberty"
As vicars are public figures with some influence in the community , I would have thought that the vicar would have spoken out in favour of Steven if he was in favour of Steven's return home :silenced:
Since the Neary's are running a campaign for Steven's release I imagined that they may have asked the vicar for his views :think:Something like this wouldn't have happened had he been in the care of his parents.
Well , I received a "bear hug" from an autistic man who was with his parents at the time - lucky I'm not a vicarHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
This is what Steven has been upto - according to the Facebook campaign page
http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=134345726596848&topic=189
"on 28th July "Steven threw a jar of cranberry sauce on the floor of the kitchen whilst laughing" and on 4th August "Steven took out a jar of vinegar and threw it onto floor, smashing it." I seem to remember a similar incident that Chris Y told me about from the week before the report where Steven broke a jar of Marmite on the kitchen floor."
