Cash isa - transferring in

I've got all of my previous years ISA money in a 1 year fixed rate isa which matures in October.
I haven't used this years allowance yet.
If I do open another ISA now for this years allowance and then in October my current bank offer a really poor rate on the old money, can i transfer the old money to another ISA in this tax year with another bank, even though I've already opened an isa with this years cash in.

Yes. You can pay in up to £5100 into a Cash ISA this year. You can transfer all of this year's money to another provider (and pay in some of the £5100 before the transfer and some after if you wish). You can transfer whatever part of your previous year's contributions you like to whichever provider you like, with the exception that some accounts will not accept transfers in, and some accounts will not accept partial transfers out.
