Party for 7 yr old girl

We just had DD's party in Pizza Express- six kids making pizzas, plenty of balloons and drinks, then icecreams and bambocinos like you'd get in the kids' menu anyway. The staff seemed to really enjoy it and as the only parent there I did too- very hands off on my part. It was under a tenner per kid, which compares well to just taking them out for lunch I thought. Highly recommended! (And I followed up with Horrid Henry party bags at 40p per head )
Last year I took a handful off to the theatre but pizzas were better. They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -

True: there's nowt as queer as follk...or what they will inflict on their children!
What about a sleepover with a DVD, home-made popcorn etc.?
That probably counts as boring nowadays. Please call me 'Pickle'

DD had a spray tan last year (she'd not long turned 7) in readiness for a cheerleading competition she was performing in two days later (and believe me I wrestled with myself as to whether I should allow her to do it). She loved it, and although she had the palest one they did, she still looked like she had a pair of white knickers on when she got undressed! She has another competition at the end of the month so I have to decide whether or not to let her have another one.
However, I don't think I'd let her have one as part of a birthday pampering, although I am tempted this year to have a sort of hair and nails and facial type pampering party for her and her friends. No fake tans though.
Jxx
