Help! Freview question on Phillips 32" Lcd TV.

I Have a Phillips 32" LCD TV (32PF7250D) I returned the first TV as the freeview was cutting out on ITV Channels Only and the sound was cutting out on E4.

Now after receiving the replacement this one is doing exactly the same.

You will be watching Digital TV and all of a sudden the Screen will go blank (Black) then it will turn bright blue and then the picture will come back, it does it 6ish times a day and it doesnt matter what time it happens it can be first thing in the morning or last thing at night.

I also have a Humax PVR and when this is on the picture is fine and doesnt cut out.

The sound on E4 just keeps cutting out for about a second every 30 seconds. again on the PVR it is fine.

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas what it could be? I have installed a new areial with a direct cable link from the areial to the TV and it still happens.

Please help its driving me :mad:

We have two different makes of freeview boxes running off one areial and we have that problem with one and not the other.

We do live in an area where they say we cannot receive a picture so I assume it is somthing to do with signal strength or differences in the boxes.

It sounds like interference of some sort. Top quality, double screened, low loss cable may improve matters (CT100 or equivalent) The signal will be bigger and the pickup of intererence less. It may be that LCD tv's are also more electrically noisy or the tuner inside is not shielded so well as in the Humax given a weak signal.

Nothing wrong with your tv, just 2 fifferent freeview receivers and one is slightly better than the other, obviously your have borderline reception you need a masthead amplifier or a new wide band aerial
