I've just brought something off ebuyer and now see the price has dropped by £20. The item hasn't been shipped yet. Can I demand the new price, or should I cancel the order, then re-order?

you cannot demand the new price as if it had gone up by £20 they could not demand you pay the difference
however if you wish to cancel order and reorder that up to you but if it has already been sent you would be responsible for paying postage for returning item

Well, they haven't even shipped it yet, so maybe I'll cancel, wait for the refund then try again.

I bought a laptop for £565, it was the last one, then it went up to £605 and 90 were in stock. I'm glad they don't ask for the difference! lol. But, I would probably cancel and reorder if it hadn't been shipped yet. BTW. With ebuyer tracking, mine says awaiting dispatch, but its supposed to be here by monday?! :( Any ideas?

No. But if you had bought something for £300 and then 5 minutes later the price dropped, wouldn't you think, "sh*t, I wonder if I can get the new price?"

So the first thing I'd do is contact the retailer rather than join, what seems like, the hundreds of posters asking the same, inane question without at least learning how to use the search facility.

If the price went up and the company put the price up £20 would you think I know i'll give them some more money it's only fair.

No. Because they would have known they were going to put up the price, could have stopped all sales, changed price and started again.

Get down off your high horse.

I searched for price change and price dropped, and didn't see anything particularly relevant on the first pages, so thought I would write a new topic. Maybe there is a chance someone else has done exactly what I am thinking of doing (cancel order before it is shipped), and had a bad experience of getting the payment back.
