The Nationwide travel insurance "giveaway"

If you don't like the way they operate then perhaps it's time to find another bank/building society.
We are dumping our Nationwide Flexaccount about November, because of the increased charges abroad.
I feel the same way but have not yet acted. They say that they have dumped the free overseas debit card withdrawals because they were being abused by people that just held the Flex Account for overseas transactions. They have replaced this with free travel insurance that no-one wants. Why can't they just maintain the free overseas debit card withdrawals for loyal customers (who pay their salaries into their Flex Accounts)?0
