Talk talk/Tiscali rip off

Been a customer with Tiscali, which is now Talk Talk for 2 years in a bundle,TV,Broadband, Line rental which costs approx £35 at the moment(couple of add ons on TV). Basic bundle £24.99 now increase to £32,apparently they have invested in new technology(obviously WE paying for it). This month they have altered billing dates, so in essence 1.8.10 £38 paid then 20.8.10 £40 taken. Not great when you get paid monthly on last working day. Customer services were rubbish when I queried this. Only notified a week before they did it. Took me 45 minutes to get through to unhelpful guy,who was sorry, but couldnt help re billing.
Basically I have looked at comparisons and think I can get cheaper deal especially phone and broadband. I am not compatible with Virgin. Any ideas for the phone,tv,broadband bundles,or shall I forget the TV and just stick with my Freeview?:rotfl:

Broadband is exchange specific, so no general advice can be given without knowing your exchange. Go towww.samknows.com, exchange search, and look for your LLU providers, as these will be the best deals.
Your TV options will depend on what channels you want. If you don't want premium channels then no point in taking a subscription if you have Freeview or Fresat alternatives.
Remember that if TT have LLU'd your line already then you can only switch ISP's by first taking your line rental back to BT on a 12m contract (return to donor).

I spoke to BT. As long as my line is active i can be switched over for free. after that i'll take up o2 broadband.

TT are a complete disgrace. They take the moeny 10 days early, change the DD with just 14 days notice and they still take the full amount. so in essence i'm paying for a full month whilst getting just 20 days (i pay on the 1st usually).

As i have a separate sat receiver i dont need the TV channels anyway.
