New Laptop Screen

Options
We have just been clearing out some things and found are old laptop, its a Advent 8215P Intel Core Duo T2350 15.4" Widescreen TFT, however it has a broken screen i think. Before i take it to a shop, how much should it cost to repair or could i get one off ebay and do it myself? Cheers

  • Too much for a shop cheaper to replace. If you have the time and some small tools it's easy to do, ebay for new replacement.

    Original model name: Uniwill L51II

    Video tutorial

Purchase examples here, here, here and here(in descending price order), though may be found cheaper by searching under the original model name. Uniwill or ECS L51II. Note that the first is matte, whilst the others are glossy.

So £70 or less if you do it yourself. Ask your local computer shop for their labour charge for fitting a screen for your other answer. Good luck. :)
