  • This may be late but it goes for everyone who gets these e-mails:

    Since this guy has your real details it is not a wise move to wind him up. Even if he is in Nigeria or Holland, these fake-cheque gangs have connections all over the UK. It is shockingly easy to find out someone's real life details from an internet trail (as in this story here: clicky:eek:).

    Just don't reply. But if you are interested in these scams I recommend https://www.scamorama.com - very funny and educational. Good move checking it out here first - people lose over $2bn/yr worldwide to this and similar scams :mad:

    Well now, back in 1986 ...

    ... I used Western Union to draw out cash on my credit card. Their fee was around twenty per cent, but I did get real money and the amount on my cc statement was exactly what I was expecting. So that transaction at least was legit.
    Ah the good old days eh!

    scam I ahve recieved it when I put my car in Loot and also in Auto trader just delete.
