Treacle, is that you in your avatar? I would change it from a photo, and I would remove your locaation from your profile. The internet is a smaller place than you think and you may be putting off prospective new employers.
Sorry if that sounds harsh, just looking out for your best interests, honest.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
'Restraint of trade' clauses that seek to stop ex-employees ever working in that industry ever again are certainly not going to be enforced by a court - I think they are actually illegal under European law. But what we have here is a more specific restriction to geographical area and time-limited, so may be enforcable depending on the specifics of the case and you will need professional legal advice. Of course, you could always ask your new employer if they could employ you out of one of their regional offices for the first six months.0

The OP is unable to travel further than 10 minutes without being in pain so it is unlikely that she would be able to get to another office. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

Ah, but Treacle is logging in to see whether anyone is still falling for her manipulative games. She's removed her photo since Emmzi told her that her photo would identify her. Shame that she has been daft enough to not also remove her Exeter location. It's a pretty small place, and how many about to be former client retention advisers who are just coming up to being terminated after a 12 months fixed term contract, who are disabled (or claim to be) and who have had loads of time off sick prior to being offered a job with a competitor, and have a meeting with the current employer next week to discuss their restrictive covenant banning them from working within a 3 mile radius for the next 6 months do you think there are - in that small place Exeter?0
