Norton 360 backup advice

Hi Guys,
I'm just giving my elderly parents computer the once over. They are getting constant messages from Norton 360 telling them to buy more storage @ a cost o £30 for 5 gig.
They currently have 7 gig backedup online. most of which seems to be music. However that would imply 2000 or more tracks, and I doubt they have a quarter of that amount.
How do I access their backup to make some space?
Is there likely to be duplicated stuff in their storage space?

Would be rather cheaper to archive to DVD-that 5GB would fit on one, which would cost pence. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
