Insulating & boarding our loft

Hi we've just had a quote through for insulating our loft and am trying to work out if I could do it cheaper myself.
The loft is approx 30m2 and we have been quoted £220 for 270mm insulation all over (this includes a £180 grant).
We also asked about getting an area boarded as we'd like to use the loft for a bit of storage and have been quoted £20 per sqm for this as they'd have to raise the level of the floor.
Is this a good quote or could I do it cheaper myself by just buying insulation from Wickes / B&Q? (Might still have to get them in to do the boarding though as I'm not sure I could manage that).
Any thoughts appreciated.
