Southport Flower Show

I go every year and there is always lots to see. The show gardens are not as posh or as big as the RHS show gardens. The Floral Marquee is as good as the RHS ones. You can get lots of plant bargains when the show closes on Sunday so take bags/trolley. Most of the exhibitors in the Marquee sell off, HMP Kirkham always seem to have veg in their displays I have carted home spuds and caulis before now.
This year they have incorporated a book festival and the US author Tess Gerritson is giving a talk on Sunday afternoon. Mark Billingham was there on Thursday.
