How long To wait between PIN and Card?

I received the PIN for my new Santander debit card a couple of weeks ago but have not yet received the card. My old card (an A&L one) is still good until the end of September, so I'm not sure whether to phone up and ask if they have sent it or not. How long is it normal to wait between getting the PIN and the card? My last two new A&L cards didn't need a new PIN and I can't remember how long it took for the first one to arrive.

I received new debit cards from the Halifax on Thursday and the PIN's arrived today. It's a new account.

I have never had new PIN's for every card I've ever had and have always been able to use the existing PIN.

I would give them a call as it shouldn't take this long. However I've found that new cards usually arrive about 4-5 weeks before the old one expires.

I just phoned them, they said the card should have arrived within 4 days of the PIN, so they have cancelled it and are sending me a new one. Its either got lost in the post or is a problem caused by the migration from A&L to Santander.

Both MrsM and myself have had PIN letters 2 weeks ago and no card so I suppose I had better get on to them

Usually you should get your card 2-3 working days after the PIN.

Could have done what they did with me and send the card to a branch halfway across the city. Muppets.
