  • I have to say it looks fantastic too. I would love to try something similar for my two boys. I just wondered what would any of you put in them as the drawers look quite small. I don't like to put all chocolates in them.

    Love this thread, I was googling advent calendars as last year I never got round to making one and I really want to this year! Think I will be down to tescos if they get them in again and then will change it. My christmas stuff is all traditional colours so would do it the same to match. :)
    It is only a bargain if you need it!

  • Thank you for the ideas they are great and website is great got a few more ideas now. My youngest son is 1 and my eldest will be nearly 3 by christmas. Not too sure about an advent calendar for my youngest yet.

  • just for ideas - small rubbers (you can get packs and split if you have more than one child), pencil sharpeners, sugar mice, choc lollipops, pair of socks (stick out the drawer!), hair bobbles, toy cars,

    i am making some finger puppets for my daughter, they dont take too long and can use glue if you cant sew!
