Love this thread, I was googling advent calendars as last year I never got round to making one and I really want to this year! Think I will be down to tescos if they get them in again and then will change it. My christmas stuff is all traditional colours so would do it the same to match.
It is only a bargain if you need it!0 -

just for ideas - small rubbers (you can get packs and split if you have more than one child), pencil sharpeners, sugar mice, choc lollipops, pair of socks (stick out the drawer!), hair bobbles, toy cars,
i am making some finger puppets for my daughter, they dont take too long and can use glue if you cant sew!0
