Bought Elmo TMX from Argos today and indeed it was the Top Secret box but it does not say 'NO peeking' when the box flap is opened.

Instead it says something like 'Elmo really ticklish in here'

From research I have read the original top secret box should say 'no peekin' and the warning box should say the above that I have found.
I ordered from hamleys and it arrived last week - mine is in a 'top secret' box and says the same as yours, something about being ticklish. I was a bit surprised after reading about the 'no peeking' voice  but as it's for my little one for xmas i'm not really all that bothered lol

I picked mine up from Woolies on Saturday and also have the Top Secret box with "Elmo's really ticklish in here". It's really cute, but can imagine my son getting really bored of it very quickly!

4 out of 5 elmos being sent back today to Hamleys, the ebay prices are getting silly now and no profit as market swamped.

Do Hamley's repay p&p when sending back? If you order from them they charge £4.95 p&p so to send it back will cost the same so you're £5 out of pocket already? That right??

Just a thought! I haven't checked mine yet - should I? Also if you open it completely does the "No peeping" stop when you put it back inside to wrap up! ??

amazed how many shops do actually have shelf stock of these, think any chance of a mad rush at xmas is looking more and more unlikely

Just done a quick check on argos for stock in the Glasgow area.

All stores had at least 5 in stock. I checked 10 stores on line.

If all argos stores have at least 5 in stock this is several thousand available as of today. As long as this is the last major delivery before Christmas then go out and snap them up.

Alas, if all other suppliers have obtained plenty of stock so early in October it is unlikely to push the price up for some time.

If you are buying for profit you will have a long wait. If yo are buying for presents go out and find your own for the normal retail price rather than paying ebayinflated prices.

Only safety net is if 'USA' do not get any more stock and they will pay through the nose in the run up to Christmas.

I have only bought one as a pressie and do not see the market being big enough in the UK. It's a great item but I think there is plenty of time to get more stock into stores for Christmas.

Considering this was one of Fisher Prices's key toys to stay afloat amidst the challenges against video games and other electronic goods companies, (Hence the marketing build up to 'Secret Elmo').. I really dont see how a company so reliant on sales at this important time can under estimate production.

Secondly alot of the news I have read about this has been American based. Although no expert I know my little niece would swap 20 Elmos for something related to Pepper Pig!!

I think I bought my two because secretly it reminds me of my childhood watching Sesame Street.. Hence eBay will soon see 2 more. (or maybe 1 ;))

Good Luck to the rest of ya'll
