Hopefully, Argos, Play, Amazon, ToysRUs, The Entertainer, Woolies, Tesco and Uncle Tom Cobbly will all have their stocks in place soon so the fleabayers get badly stung :rotfl:

I think you've missed the main reason that buyers in the US are buying from ebay - its because Fisher Price have stated on their US website that there will be no more Elmos until 2007. When the stock runs out on ebay.com the demand will begin to show on ebay.co.uk. I can't put it any simpler than that. Why does it worry you what others do?0 -

It never fails to amaze me how nasty some people are to each other. we are all trying to save/make a bit of money because we are taxed to death unlike those who come here for a free ride and don't have to pay a thing though thats another discussion board. I am sure England is on a grabbit while you can board most places in the world!
Lets be nice, because you never know when a fellow human may may nice to you in return0 -
one just went for £27 on ebay with £8 postage OUCH0

I simply don't understand your attitude. I'm not averse to a bit of speculating myself (although I couldn't personally be bothered with a £35 toy - cars are more my thing) but surely anybody losing money on such a venture isn't something you should wish for?cheapskate58 wrote:Hoping all fleabayers get burned :rotfl: ... Your desire to see people lose their hard earned cash beggars belief. There's no losers if the prices rise - the stores get their money, Fisher Price get theirs, the eBay sellers get their money, and the eBay buyers get their product.
The only losers, should the value not be there, are the eBay sellers who, I'd hope, have only invested as much money as they can afford to lose.
There's been plenty of warnings from people, to paraphrase the adverts, that the value of their investment could go down as well as up, but I still don't get why you'd actually wish for somebody to lose out?
Can you explain it, or are you just lonely and bitter?0 -
I think you've hit the nail on the head.0

Well, it's nastier to try and corner a market and sell at inflated prices than simply to point that fact out and wish they fail. Actually, this site is about saving money, not making money.
Grabbit bargains disappear when Ebaying swine gobble them up in their greed. They deserve everything they get when it goes wrong.
Nice enough for you
