Seems like Elmos are going on Ebay for aroun £40-£50. What would ebay charge on something like that anyway?

Just wondering what the "break even" price would have to be.

I would estimate that if you bought from shop at £34.99 you would have to sell at £40 to break even (Inc. listing, selling & Paypal fees), that is assuming you don't make any money from postage costs.

My eBay listing and final sale cost was £3.56 (Plain listing with no Gallery etc.)
    PayPal cost: £2.00
Special Delivery: £7.80 (Can remember exact figure to the pence)
    Elmo Cost: £34.99
    Total: £48.35

    I sold Elmo for £44.99 with £8.00 p&p

Not the easiest £4.64 I've ever made!

The Sun printed their list of 'hot' toys for christmas and elmos was not one of them. I think that this will knock demand for it down quite a bit as the featured toys will know be in the mind of parents.

In the Telegraph there was an article about the Toy industry's top 12 toys for xmas and no Elmo but at the end "One toy released too late to make the top 12 if the Tickle Me Elmo.....which is predicted to be the toy in shortest supply this Christmas"
The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j
