Scaredy, they were good, they're not the best in the world but they're always a good laugh. And they'll give me a discount for my birthday party.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • Morning all!

I've decided to become more accepting of myself as a person and stop trying to be someone I'm not. So instead of trying to force myself to sleep when I don't feel tired just because it seems an appropriate time to be asleep (ie, now), I'm going to just sleep when I'm tired and do things when I'm awake. So I've had my usual porridge for breakfast (and deposited part of it on the stairs carpet through tripping on my way up *rolls eyes* It's cleaned up now) and I'm now slowly working on a essay. When it gets light, I think I might even have another go at my Couch to 5k podcast while it's cool. I'm also planning to make some HM potato and leek soup later. :) One of my plans when CC free is to get a decent flask to take soup to work with me. I've got my eye on this one, it's a bit pricey but it's got brilliant reviews. And I know hot soup would be lovely at work when it gets a bit colder, especially as I don't think we get a different uniform for winter. So think of me in a few months time, delivering pizzas in the freezing cold in a short sleeved t-shirt! I wonder if I bat my eyelashes at Mo, I might be able to sweet-talk him into getting me one of the coats the guy on the moped has. We'll see.

Anyway, best get on with some more writing. It's starting to get light but I think I'll give it another 1/2 hour before I go out. Talk soon.

Hi Kayleigh...a doctor once told me if you have a problem sleeping don't fight it...go with it...so I do things at odd times of the day. I am grateful for Sky and the internet as they keep me sane.

So well done on accepting the situation....

Thanks. :) I've been for a lovely long walk and although my arms are now freezing, I feel much better for it. Note to self though - next time I go out at that hour, I must remember to turn off my alarm clock first. If the noise of it going off for 1/2 an hour while I was out didn't wake Rob downstairs up, me thundering up the stairs when I realised certainly will have. :rotfl:I'm off for a shower now and then I might have a go at making that soup.

    Morning everyone

Kayleigh, I am lucky not to have problems with sleep. I think that your outlook of accepting your sleep pattern will be beneficial to you just as long as you get the amount of sleep your body requires.

For me its around 9 hours otherwise I am a right grump:o

Soup sounds like a good idea, I make loads in the winter and vegetable broth is my favourite.

Cold is almost disappeared now and as I return to stinky work tomorrow I need to get Loads done today.

Hope everyone is well and have a good Sunday xx

I need about 8 or 9 hours Lou. I pretty much fall asleep at 9pm every night! but I am usually up about 5 or 6.

Someone told me I could alter my sleep pattern by going to bed later and later every night - I just ended up really grumpy and tired...so I gave up.

Its my 18th wedding anniversary today....

I bet you can get loads done in the early morning though Sam.

Happy anniversary to you both, are you doing anything special?

Nope...we went out last night and had a burger at the handmade burger co and then went to watch the totally forgettable Expendables.....

He had to be reminded:p and he hasn't got me a card..but then I am not big on celebrations...but I know he loves me:T

I got my photos back-that recuva did it! Took me all bloody day but is certainly worth it.
DH and I went to a friends house last night-they have built a proper bar in their garden with kegs and every kind of booze-we were having shots and cocktails and all sorts-I actually remained relatively sober and larfed and larfed. Was dead good.

DD has a friend coming round today and I am making a roast chicken for tea-I have to clean the house for Spudly's visit tomorrow and that's about it.

    Sammy-miss you. Happy Anniversary btw.

BB-you are doing so incredibly well.

Claire-you as well-your dedication is completely inspiring.

In the past-I would eat emotionally. (see, I do listen to the CBT tapes, lol)

Gooooorgeous day here, I think I may sit in the garden today and read.

Hello everyone else! So nice to see so many new people. :D oh, and thank you all for your help and suggestions. Inky-I know you are lurking, thank you for your email xxx
