if you get high rate care of dla then you get sdp also enhanced dis prem this is what it is well on mine anyway.

It's DLA middle rate care that qualifys someone to SDP. I think the extra £13 is enhansed disability premium

if you live alone get middle care of dla have less than £6000 in savings and know one claims carers allowancethen you can get severe disability premium(sdp) paid with is/ esa /jsa ib/ its about £53 per week

It's an extra disability premium.. To qualify you need to be in reciept of DLA MRC or HRC, live alone and no one claims carers allowance for you.

If you use a benefit calculator on this site or Directgov.com this should tell you exactly what your entitled to including H/CT benefit.

Contact your local office and ask for a claim form for SDP.

Ah thanks for that. I live with my mum, couldn't cope living alone. Cheers!

If you live with your mum you wouldn't qualify for SDP, however, it's still worth checking your benefit entitlement with the benefit calculator.
