  • The vendor did mention she'd had cavity wall insulation a few years ago. Said the guy only went up half the wall, but wasn't sure why!?

Short of asking the vendor on Monday, is there any way I can find out whether it is concrete? .

You phone up the council housing dept and ask them what type of sytem was used at the particular address or in that road.

    Then you investigate the system.

Whether you will get a mortgage on it is something which you need to find out. Many main-stream lenders may avoid certain types of system built properties, but there may be other lenders who are not bothered. A good survey report may mean that the lender will len on the property.

In any event, system built properties may have certain issues, in the same way that traditionally built ones do. Thousands of system built properties are lived in quite happily by their owners
  • those houses he is refering to ...whewre probably built in the last 25 years .
