:DI finally did it! Just had hummous on ryvita for lunch. I think I must have had an extra juicy lemon as it was quite tart at first, but just chucked a bit of sugar in.

Now all I have to do is find room in the freezer for the other 3.75k that hasn't made it into hummous yet.............

Oh Yummy! Well done you! Can you keep some out and make some chickpea curry or something with chickpeas as the basis? That way you don't have to store as many?

Zippy, I've got about half a kilo in the fridge to go in lunch salads over the next few days - and I have to make brownies later as a thankyou for people at work who regularly 'sell' me "extended deadlines" for them:D

And I'd also defrosted a humungous packet of mince on Friday so I have 6 evening meals in the freezer as well involving, well, .......mince.

Oh - and the hummous was the first time the food processor came out of its box - it was bought about 3 months ago when my brain was suffering from next door's alarm going off continuously for almost 24 hours - and I'd been looking at it suspiciously ever since:rotfl:

    Mmmm brownies!

Food processor - what do you really use it for?
Might give you some ideas. I only use mine for grating carrots for carrot cake ( i have weak wrists/arms) or for making lemon drizzle cake for the hairy bikers recipe - as that's how they say to make it! Oh, and pastry :)

If you need some "mincpiration" :p:o

More exciting mince recipes may help. Here's my faffy but delicious meatball recipe - not the cheapest but oh so tasty!

Thanks, Zippy - when there's a bit of space in the freezer I'll try those. My original idea was just the bulk zapping of onions, etc so I could pull a bag out for whatever was being cooked - but now I've got it I will have to experiment further.
