hi i recently paid a visit to my not so local leisure centre to take my kids swimming....my bf said this one had a slide in the pool so decided to go there for a change we parked in the car park and as i hate going swimming anyway(i dont swim) and with three excited children i did not notice there was a pay as you park sign half way across the car park...i have visited the leisure centre by me numerous times and it has no car park charges so did not even think to look for a car park pay station....after we came out of the leisure centre i had a notice on my windscreen sayin i had not paid and that i will now have to pay a fine of £50 OR £25 if paid within 14 days ...i was just wondering if there is anythin i can do to appeal against this as this leisure centre was less than four miles away from the one we usually visit that has no parking charges i know this is a long shot but just wondered if anyone had any similar situations any advice would be appreciated thanks

Was this a private car park or council?0 -
Copy/photo the ticket and remove personal bits. Both sides. Host on tinypic and put url into a post. ONLY do this if is a bona fide council (which one) if not then don't bother to post it just ignore them. Next time remember to buy a ticket.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Its council
You will get better results on pepipoo.com for this issue, they will ask for scans of both sides of the ticket, and photos of the bay, car park and signs, just blank out all details that can identify you. Post the images on tinypic and post the links.
Best of luck!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

Because they will need to see if there are any errors in regards to the ticket itself, very often the ticket or the wording has been messed up, and therefore can be appealed, just blank out your personal details, together with ticket number etcExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors.
