or if you mean a FULL FACTORY RESTORE to how it came out the box , it depends on the Make/model
Acers , normally F4 as the PC boots

We have just done this with our nieces laptop that runs vista.
It was F8 to get to safe mode I believe(pressing F8 key as soon as it starts up till you get the choices for booting)then in safe mode we typed system restore in on the search and it came up with the options available to choose from and we went from there.0 -
