Enrolling

More a comment than anything else.

My daughter did her enrolling yesterday. I'd not really thought about it but I sort of assumed that thye would get a time to show up even if it was just a guide time. No, apparently everyone justs gets in a queue and it went all right around the building, right around the block, worse than lining up for a concert. She got in the queue once, went off to do something came back much later, same size queue.

Just makes me wonder what else unis cannot organise.

I expect that, just looking at the queque there would be a few that would decide uni really was not for them and decide to bolt for the firt train home!

After reading through the threads on here I am beginning to wonder what it is that we dont know about student unions.

I sort of assumed that they were there for the benefit of students also to help students. But from the comments it seems the opposite is true.

Who funds student unions and are they there to try and make money for unis?

Any comments from 2nd and 3rd year students?
