Hi Folks
Has anyone heard of ccleaner.com on their laptop or desktop ? If so, can you please explain what it is, how to use it, and what are the benefits of using it?
Many Thanks

Cleans rubbish off the computer. Also has a 'registry cleaner' included amongst other things
Generally very safe to use. I recommend the main 'cleaner' part if nothing else. Only run the registry part if you feel somethings wrong (Back up the registry when it asks):idea:0 -
Hi
Thanks for your reply. How do I use ccleaner & how would I know what things to get rid of?
Thanks0 -
Select 'cleaner' (on the left)
Set to 'run cleaner' and it will remove everything it can thats safe to remove
If you wish to untick things (like cookies) then you can:idea:0 -

I've been using Ccleaner for the last four years and never had a problem.
Select "Cleaner", "analyze", "Run Cleaner", job done.
Select "Registry", "Scan For Issues", "Fix Selected Issues...", "Backup To The Registry? Yes", Create a subfolder with an appropriate name in your My Documents folder, "Fix All Selected Issues", "Close", Job Done.
It's a great progam, dinnae be feart!
*Edit*
I forgot to mention, it doesn't work so well if your browser is open at the same time.0
