Hi,
Quick question -please
I have a very simple purchase and have been ring around for quites which have all been coming out at around the £900 mark. This sounds high and I wonder what anyone would think I should be looking to pay for an affordbale yet quality service?
Quick details -
- Purchase Only
- HIPS pack created 3 months ago
- No onward chain from the vendor
- First Time Buyer (no stamp duty)
- Mortgage has been credit checked and approved by the lender's underwriter and will be provided by one of the big-named high street banks.
Is £900 too much?
Thank you to all of you experienced and helpful people

Need to know the purchase price and a breakdown of how the £800 was arrived at.
Land Registry Fee for £120K is £200, for £70K is only £80 so this can make a difference to the reasonableness or otherwise of the figure.
Also is it a house or a flat?

As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0
