50,000 empty seats in schools in NI

Noboy wants to lose heir local school but if a school is not feasible then it should be closed down. It is not cheap to run a school with each school having overheads simply to open its doors. It is time to stop throwing good mony after bad and close uneconomical schools down. Ivan

If a teacher can't look after 3 pupils without the need for a classroom assistant, irrespective of rights etc., there is a major failing in the system .. it is just an example of money being wasted in the system and even more reason for such schools to be closed down.
