Cheapest train travel Doncaster to Leeds

My daughter is commuting to Leeds uni from Doncaster, which way is the cheapest train travel? Thanks

Try asking at Donnie station for season tickets with student railcard as otherwise it might be two travel passes, one for south Yorks and the other for west yorks.

Probably a season ticket to South Elmsall, then Student Plus Metrocard to Leeds - as I recall the Young Person Railcard can't be used for season tickets so she'll have to pay the full price and I'd check to see if she has to use trains that stop at South Elmsall

Probably the best combination would be a 3 month before Christmas & 6 month after Christmas - and of course the Metrocard gives her travel throughout the West Yorkshire area
