Norton SW wont uninstall

Can;t get norton to uninstall
Even though I ran uninstall it keeps trying to load at startup and clogs up the works
I cant find the original disk otherwise I'd reinstall and start over.
Any ideas? anyone??

You haven't said which version of Norton - Systemworks, Anti-virus?
