Hi All
I bought my boyfriend a watch from H Samual a month ago for his birthday. The loop which holds the strap down has broken off - should they replace the watch for this?
I have the receipt and took out the additional 2 years cover but not the original packaging. Watch is in excellent condition other than the part thats come off.
Just looking for some advice before i return it today - I'm such a pushover over doing things like this so any advice before i go is welcome!!

I think they should replace it, Debs. The issue will be whether the watch has broken due to misuse or normal expected wear and tear, or whether it wasn't particularly well made in the first place. They might well try to argue that your boyf's been smacking his wrist against a wall or something, but give it a go. Take it back, show them the break and ask for a replacement, refund or repair."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

The loop on the strap has broken I would expect them to replace that and if that is not possible then replace the strap. I certainly wouldn't expect the watch to be replaced.0 -
It's the retailer's choice whether they want to refund, replace or repair but you would be entitled to one of those remedies.0
