Hargreaves Lansdown has a guide of which companies which offers such 'shareholder perks'. There is also a shorter list on Sharecrazy.com's website.
You should keep the following in mind:
- You may need to hold a minimum number of shares and/or for a certain period(or on a particular date) before you qualify.
- Some companies give discounts on every single transaction to shareholders. others just a one off or a number of vouchers.
- Some companies offer the discounts to all shareholders, others will only do so to shareholders who hold paper certificates.
- Bear in mind the value of the discount compared to the price of the shares (its normally not worth buying shares just to qualify for the discount!)
