Butternut Squash woes

I would never grow pumpkin, squash or courgettes in the greenhouse as long as you harden off the plants and wait 'til the frosts are finished they're fine outside in fact they're better outside. This year is the first year we've bothered watering as it's been so dry without rain. Our squash bed was heaped with well rotted manure and I put some canes with Borlotti beans (for drying) climbing up and the squashes have scrambled through. At home (not the lottie)we have more butternut growing through sweetcorn which have climbing french beans growing up them.I think the native americans grew them like this and I think it's called "the three sisters"apparently the squash with their big leaves help keep the moisture in and the weeds out:)0
