I think I'm just embarrassed Scaredy, I'm still at the stage of attempting to make a good impression in this job and my stupid perfectionist side likes to beat me up about little mistakes.

Obviously aided and abetted by this other persons perfectionist requirements. Let them have a go if they are perfect! These are exactly the people who build stress in the workplace.

Luc, get your hold it all in pants on, paint your fingernails and toenails get your hair looking ultra gorgeous and stick some slap on.

I am certain that you will scrub up beautifully and remember, sometimes the evenings out that we are not looking forward to are the ones that turn out to be fantastic:T

I on the other hand look like death warmed up and intend to relax for most of the day to try to shift this stinking cold.

Have bought dress (after much toing and froing), a sucky in slip and fabby hold ups. Feeling much better about tonight but all those strangers :o:eek::o

Hope you feel better soon Lou x

Oh wow, Luc, it's gorgeous! You are going to be stunning. (Jealous!) I get nervous about things like that too and I have to do a lot of it for my job. It's weird, I am absolutely fine about getting up and doing a presentation in front of a hall full of people, but the idea of small talk terrifies me!! I usually find though that once I've spoken to one person, it gets a bit easier. You'll be brill! Remember that list you made us do a while back about things you like about yourself? Try and focus on those. :A

Thanks Jo - I'm totally fine with work related socialising but this is proper socialising:eek::rotfl:

As for the list - well lets just say that was a 'do as I say, not as I do' kind of day...

Lovely dress Luc - You'll look stunning!

Sorry to hear about everyones rain, it's been a proper summers day here, 25degrees, muggy, sunny, hot hot hot.....there's a nice breeze though which is just keeping it comfortable outside.

Have just cut DH's hair and trimmed his beard, I'm really getting the hang of it now.....when he has one of his big back spasms that throws him backwards I can whip the clippers away without giving him bald chunks :D

Wish I could just shave all my hair off, I decided to grow it out as it's just a pain being short and needing cutting so often but it's now at that "looks like something died on your head and is sitting sideways" stage....I must resist the scissors!

Elfen - How come you're selling the tickets?
