Has anyone come across this problem, have moved from ESA to JSA but they have trouble with the ESA computer system and cannot put my JSA claim on the system. Due to this my claim is now being dealt with the clerical team which is causing no end of problems.

ESA & JSA use the same computer system. If there are any system poblems your claim can end up being 'clerical'.
All this means is that instead of you being paid automatically, a processor physically looks after your account and pays you using paperwork instead of updating the computer system.
The only problem you may encounter is if you call them, the people who answer the phones will not be able to help you straight away, they will have to refer your call to the clerical section.
If you know your claim is clerical, it will help to quote this when you call them or go into the Jobcentre.
Hope this helps.0 -

You should find that your claim will stop being paid clerically soon, normally clerical cases are a temporary solution while the computer fault is fixed to make sure you still get paid. The faults should only take a few weeks to fix & then it should be processed on the system as normal. There are some cases which will always be clerical but these are rare0
