My circumstances have not changed at all other than I am one year older and have an extra no claims bonus year (6 years now in total(. Can anyone therefore explain why my car insurance quotes are over £100 more than last years?
I've been through all the comparison site, and aviva and direct line but they are all giving me ridiculous prices!

Hi Sarah - loads of threads on this recently which explain all the reasons why - all you can do is try and shop around as this has pretty much affected everyone.0

Fraudulent claims
Losing your new customer discount
Lots of bad drivers on the road making a lot of claims
Lots of whiplash claims
Just a few reasons why insurance has gone up0 -
I'm with Direct Line and mine is also £100 more than last years. I plan to shop around as Direct Line said that they couldn't improve on their price.0

no real investment returns since 2007. So unable to cross subsidise premiums to the levels they were before.
increased solvency requirements coming up as well as the need to rebuild their assets and reduce debts. (global recession doenst just hit individuals).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Chris Knott insurance. They will beat any quote and thats a guarantee, but you must have at least one year NCB. Google them CK insurance. But be honest with them about quotes you have had as the insurance is dependant on you providing a written quote.0
