I am currently working for a wedding photographer and looking for advice on how to get the business website to appear as high up say the google search list as possible, i know there are tricks you can use to make sure you appear fairly high up but have no clue how so any help will be greatly appreciated.
The home page of the new site is yet to be written so figured it was a good time to ask.

There is no real short answer to this, but I try. The most important things are, put the keywords in the content of your website and have a lot of people linking to your site. The link on other people's sites should be as close as possible to the keywords.
Also if your site is new, create a sitemap and submit it to all the major search engines.
The long answer you'll find here0 -
Add meta keyword in your page and submit the site pages to google by google webmaster tool.0

It doesn't work like this anymore for years. The meta tags are important too, but certainly not the meta keyword...

The most important thing is what people expect to find on your website, the CONTENT. And the more people link to your site the more important is your site obviously.0 -

By content is that say how frequent the words wedding and photographer etc appear on your site?0 -
something like this<META http-equiv=keywords content="online web designing, erode web designing, wordpress design, online website design, cheap web design, offshore web design, cheap twitter background">
<META content="Plum Graphix is an India based company located in Erode, Tamil Nadu. We specialize in Offshore web design services" name=description>0 -
Also add your site sitemap in xml format here: www .google.com/webmasters/0

Kind of, but not a lot of people would really search for only these two words. If they're from London for instance, they would search for "wedding photographer london" as they would like to find somebody local I would think.calvin2011 wrote: »something like this
Not really, the content is what people (and the search robot) can read on your website. So don't "hide" content in flash animations or pictures. Read the link from my first post. There are a lot of informations.0 -
