Best Credit Card for over 60's?

Trying to get my parents to get themselves a credit card which pays cashback as I can see them throwing money away day by day.

Which would pay the best cashback for them? Egg Money is a bit too complicated and don't think they'd have enough income for an Amex.

The Saga credit card is aimed at older peeps and has one or two unique features that could save your parents some money.

Alternatively, if only a cashback card will do, I can vouch for Morgan Stanley. I signed up with MSDW in 1998 and use my card exclusively for retail purchases.

You can manage your account online. MSDW also accepts payments by phone so if their PC goes down, they can still settle the bill quickly in the comfort of their own home, using the automated telephone system. There's a Freefone number for this and for those occasions when they need to speak to a human being. Cashback's not as good as the current Egg Money rate, but well worth considering, if telephone back-up is important to them.

The Morgan Stanley card pays 1% on all spending up to the first £2,000 a year and 0.5% after that. They'll be surprised how it all mounts up.
