Any New Years Eve Brides?

I always imagined that i would have a summer weddding, but being the pesimist/control freak that i am, i knew i would be gutted if i planned for good weather and it rained!
This way i get an extra special date and i am prepared for the weather!
I am being charged an extra 3rd for the evening staff as he has to pay staff more to work nye. Photographers haven't put on any more costs - infact they have offered to stay in the evening for free and take pics of guests they can but there and then which i thought was cool. Maybe with a box of props or something..? (we did want one of those photo booths you can hire but they doubled the £ for NYE). Only thing is, the photo booth would have been free and the guests will have to pay £10 for their pic. But they are also going to put 10% of what htey make towards our wedding album whi they have offered to produce on a pay as you go basis after the wedding.
 They are lovely people!
if thats not enough we are going to do a cherish and trash the dress shoot after the wedding and as they haven't got any promo pics to use for the concept, we are going to let them use ours and in return we get a free days shoot and pics for the cost of petrol and lunch!!
So i guess that makes up for some of the other rip off bits. I have also got reasonable deal on coach hire. One place was charging over £600 for one 50 seater to do a return 20 mile journey, which was not enough to get all my guests home. But I have found a company that will bring our (up to) 100 evening guests up, and take 150 guests back working out at 5.50 one way, £8 return per person which you cant grumble at as it is about 25 mins out in the sticks from our town. And thats everyone going home about 1/1.30am.
Do you think it is ok to charge the guests for the coaches? we would love to pay it ourselves but we cannot afford it! As i said, we are already down on funds and the £150 i had to pay to a thug of a wheel clamper yesterday has not helped things!! I am now selling my Nintendo DS and 2 dresses to recoupe the fee! (a**hole watched me park, go in to the bank and within 4 minutes to my return had stuck a clamp on! He wanted £245 at first but alot of tears and a helpful word from a police officer later, he knocked it down to £150!)0

            Hi burnadebt!
You are not alone, we are also getting married on new year's eve!
Sorry to hear it is costing you more, with the exception of the band, we have managed to either get a discount or extras from people as it is not a day they would normally work.
I'm so pleased there is someone else! We thought we were on to a good thing but there was another couple at the hotel trying to get our date and they were willing to spend alot of money on it!! Becasue we had already pencilled it in, we got first refusal, so i have got no leverage with bargaining really as it is not as if he wouldn't have had a better offer!
The couple are now getting married the day before which is a pain as i wanted to stay overnight the night before and i cant now as it is exclusive use! Grrr!
Also i don't like the idea of knowing yesterdays wedding guests have just cleared out (or will still be clearing out) by the time i arrive to get ready! Ho hum, can't have it all my way!
What colours are you having? Everyone seems to be having frosty colours but i am going for winter berry colours.. burgundy brown and gold (not gold dresses, just trimmings - table wear ect..)
I would have loved to have done diamonte theme with tux but my friend did something too similar for her wedding.0
