deleting messenger

i have uninstalled msn messenger, few days ago (the lastest version) from add/remove programs but the icons are still on browser and loads of files still come up when i run a search.

the messenger that is on is an old version from around 2003...

but when i go into add/remove programs its not in there...

how can i get it off my pc?

    If you have Ccleaner use that. If not get it!

    It should remove files which un-installed programs leavee behind.

    If not, they may just be shortcuts in the browser you can manualy delete. (right click then maybe?)

    it could also be windows messenger, a version that come pre-installed with windows.
    you need to remove this from add/remove windows components under add/remove programs.
    Ever stop to think and forget to start again?

    do a search on inf files you need to remove the words hide
    its usually in the system32 folder
    but do a search on the word sysoc inf
