Ebay Express invite

Did anyone else receive an invite to sign up to Ebay Express? If so will you?
Seems like it won't cost anymore just worried about the returns promise. I only usually offer to accept a return if the buye contacts me, just a bit worried that if I stated returns accepted I'd be messed about a lot.
Any thoughts?

I lost interest after it said "professional sellers like yourself" instead of "professional sellers like you". I'm having a "Grumpy Old Woman" afternoon
Can I help?0 -

Sold a pair of my daughters old trainers couldn't believe the price they paid and it grew from there. I now sell mainly new clothes and footwear and during June, July & Aug it snowballed could hardly keep up with wrapping.0

It was the bit at the bottom that raved 'Sellers are enjoying increased sales thanks to PayPal raising the amount buyers can spend before completing the mandatory verification steps' that put me off.
I read it as 'Come list on eBay and enjoy giving away increasing amounts of goods for nothing, thanks to PayPal raising the amount buyers can spend before completing the mandatory verification steps'. I'm evidently having a Grumpy Old Woman day too
Eek! Someone's stolen my signature! :eek:0 -
You can only sell on eBay Express if you have a registered business and are selling new items. Apparently they are trying to get the likes of Dixons, Currys, PC World, etc.. to sign up with them with this express site but why they would bother paying the extortionate fees and charges when they have their own acceptable websites that everyone knows about is anyones guess!! This was their excuse of being able to put their charges up for those of us that have shops in that most of us have businesses and will not have our own 'dedicated site'. What a load of carp. Just another way to try and get people selling more. I have been on it today and it is very difficult to navigate anyway.
Since eBay hiked up their fees abnd dropped the exposure they have been giving cheap listing days away left right and centre so things have obviosuly not worked they want them to. My sales are down 75% and fees up by 50% - go figure that one! Mr Ebay is getting very greedy these days and this site is another way of trying to get people to buy, buy, buy and make them some money. My husband got one of these offers and has only sold one thing on eBay in the last year and certainly is not registered as either a Powerseller or a Business. To get 'Powerseller' status you have to sell a certain amount of things or a make a certain amount of money and keep above a 99% feedback rating.
As for rising sales - yeah righto, was selling 40 items a day a month or so back - now it is just 2 items today. I won't put into words what eBay is doing to my business with their greedy money clawing action these days. Apparently the cheaper you sell stuff the higher up the listings your shop items go, so if you sell quality merchandise you get penalised over the other sellers selling £1.99 tat! Disgusting attitude!0 -
