Excellent Customer service

I recently bought a dvd from an online site in Canada. The dvd cost
£8.00 and they charged £7.00 for postage and packing etc.

When the dvd arrived it was not as described and the quality anyway was awful. I sent them an email and the same day they replied and requested the item is returned and they would pay the postage back to them and refund cost of dvd and associated costs.

I duly posted the item back to them and sent an email advising them. They in turn sent an email back stating they would refund my credit card straight away and not wait for the item to be returned.

Good result but strange. Why pay for the return international postage of a faulty item? I think I would have refunded and told the customer to throw it away.

They originally said theY would not refund until item returned but after advising them item on way back to them they agreed to refund straight away. I thought that was strange.
  • Sounds great service but the little cynic inside me says, make sure the full amount does actually go back on your card..........and that nothing else comes off

Admin/restocking fees are legal in the USA (don't know about Canada), but yeah, weird.

Oh ye of little faith. I have checked my credit card statement online today and confirm the full amount plus the postage to send back has been refunded.
