Hi all
I have 40 VERY HIGH resolution photos on my HDD. I want to show them my sister so she can look at them next to each other and select which 5 we should get enlarged. I don't want to waste ink & paper by printing all 40 off. I'd just like to somehow print the images on one A4 sheet next to each other.
Any help?

Insert them into word/(or Open Office) and re-arrange them to be 5x8 (or 10x4)

Don't waste your time with Word or Office! :rotfl:
Use Irfanview available here free.
Open one of your high res images in Irfanview, enter t for thumbnails, In the thumbnails screen, Options, Select thumbnail options, change size etc. to suit your requirements, select all 40 tumbnails, then File, Create contact sheet from selected files. Print the contact sheet. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Navigate to the folder containing the pictures.
Select those you want to print, or select all
Right-click on this selected group, and select 'Print' from the pop-up menu.
The next stage may vary slightly depending on your printer driver, but the last few Epsons and HPs I've had all allowed me to select
1 picture per page (the default setting), or
2 pictures per page
3, 4, 8 pictures per page, right up to a 36-print contact sheet. Just select how many you want on one sheet and print them0
