HI
Can anybody tell me if there is a better way of making connections. I have TV, SKY, DVD, Video, Free to air satellite. I use scart leads etc. When I look behind my tv it looks like a power station, and if I move it and one of the connections comes out or loose then I have to go all through the whole system to find the loose wire. So if thers a better way I would like to know. Thanks for any serious suggestions.

Is this what you mean ?
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&searchTerms=scart&go.x=0&go.y=0You can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.0 -
Thanks Skint.
I am not that well up on this kind of thing, I have got a scart from tv to sky box, then a scart from sky box to vcr and so on. It just a mass of wires and I thought they must have come up with something better,so I will check it out with argos. All input welcome.0 -
The only option is to have some form of switching unit which will at least reduce the number of cables going into the TV but you will still have to daisy chain anything you want to be able to record from into the recording device as well as into the switching unit (eg the sky box into the VCR in your case)
Unfortunately if you have a lot of devices you are going to need a lot of cables - with a switching unit it at least makes it easier to find the problem as if the DVD stops showing their is only the cable from the DVD into the switching unit and the cable from the switching unit into the TV to check - and the 2nd one is checked simply by changing it to a different source (eg Sky) as if that works then it is the DVD to switching unit that is to blame. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
