God I hope that was a joke.

I'm a big believer in kids needing time to run around outdoors every single day come rain or shine to a) let off steam b) keep healthy c)give you other things to do later (collect leaves and make collage pictures/draw pictures of what you saw etc) and c) have a normal childhood/development. Is there a park or playground near you? Go and watch the trains/buses/diggers.

Play shop at home - get some packets and tins out and pennies
Treasure hunts at home (might be just about old enough), did you play the 'hotter/coler' game when you were a kid, my son used to love it.
Make bathtime a nice long one, just need some plastic cups/sieve/collandar/straw from McDonalds to blow through/anything waterproof etc not fancy toys, with you sitting on a chair next to bath. Take a dolly in for her to give a bath to at the same time.
Bubbles - you can top up one you buy with washing up liquid and water - hours of fun
Balloon - very cheap, lots of games you can play,

Loads of other great ideas on here to keep you both busy :-)

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.
  • A lot of churches have free or nearly free weekly playgroups, which means not only does your 19 month old get to play with other children, but you get to meet other parents as well. Even if you don't go to church they will still welcome you.

how about gloop. Cornflour and water in a tray or bowl- put in some paint or food colouring- feels wierd and really good for early mark making.

Make jelly- that dead easy- just done it with my 2 step daughters- we put fruit and sweets in (sweets was their idea, fruit mine)

Your daughter's so lucky to have a mummy who wants to all this stuff with her:T
