Hi, sorry for the title, not entirely sure what the correct term is for the little "eye" or "mouse" that I have in my bedroom to enable me to watch sky!
Anyway, the problem is that Ihave installed SKY HD but the picture in the bedroom is snowy. I have retuned the tv in the bedroom and changed the RF settings onthe HD Box, but it has made no difference.
Does anyone know how to sort this? Thanks

It does sound like a tuning issue, however is the red LED lit on the remote unit, if not have you activated the RF2 output power?
TV-Link is what Sky call them, they have a website here.

is it a long run cable going through wall plates?? if so something like this http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/3469655/SLx2B-2-Way-Signal-Aerial-Booster-With-Digital-Bypass/Product.html?ptsl=1&ob=Price&fb=0 Should do the trick, i needed on in my old flat for it to work, make sure you get one with a digital bypass as thats what allows the eye to work, however if its only a short run you shouldnt need one at all,
Can you change the channel ok?
Also ive found that in both my addresses ive had to change the RF freq to between 40-50, adjusting it by 1 each time till the picture is right, however this may be completely diff depending on where you live:beer:0 -
A "snowy" picture usually means its tuning or poor cabling rather than interference from another frequency. Although changing the RF output is definately a simple solution to try first (don't forget to retune the TV aswell). If you've correctly described it as "snowy" then I'd start looking into poor connectors, breaks in cable, and another simple way to fault find is by connecting the cable Box to TV WITHOUT the TV-Link to see if its still the same or any better.0

thanks for all the replies. i had ordinary sky plus until yesterday and at that point, the picture was fine, it was only when I installed the HD box that the problem occured. I'l have another look at the RF chanel and see if that helps. Thanks again0

PLug the old box back in, see what RF channel it was on, then duplicate that on the HD box, the picture should be exactly the same:beer:0
