Has anyone else had a phone call to tell them that their credit card can be paid off by the government? They say that their is a loop where if the company upped your credit limit without giving you any paperwork and not officially informing you they are breaking the law!! This company has said that for £299 which you will get back, they get the total balance written off. Please let me know if you have heard anything about this. Happy days if this is the case.

Yes, I've heard about it and as far as I'm aware its a total rip off. Sorry there is no magic delete button for debt.0

Do you believe all those emails from Nigerians as well?
I'd suggest that paying as much as you can off each month, and not spending on it, is the best way to get the debt cleared.0 -
Thanks, I did think it might be too good to be true.0
